Our firm has been repeatedly recommended in well-known media since the beginning of its existence.
FOCUS Magazine 2020
The FOCUS magazine has awarded the lawyers of the WSK law firm for their achievements in the field of labour law in several ways:
In the current FOCUS list 2020 the entire WSK law firm is once again named the TOP law firm 2020 in Germany for the area of employment law. According to Focus, WSK was recommended disproportionately often by colleagues.
In addition, all partners of the law firm Wolff Schultze Kieferle were again included in the FOCUS list of lawyers 2020 as “TOP lawyers” for labour law”. Of the total of 11 lawyers listed in Munich, 3 alone thus belong to the WSK law firm.
For the ranking, the data company Statista compiled a list of the top commercial law firms in 21 legal fields on behalf of Focus. The list is based on the recommendations made by partners of commercial law firms and in-house lawyers. For each of the 21 areas of expertise, the lawyers were able to make recommendations for other law firms. The law firms included in the Focus Top list of commercial law firms will receive the award “Top Commercial Law Firm 2019”.
The selection of the top lawyers in the FOCUS Special is based on recommendations from specialist lawyers. A total of over 12,000 relevant individual recommendations were evaluated. The respondents were able to recommend lawyers for each specialist area who, in their opinion, stand out for their great competence and experience.
The results of the ranking are published in the Focus special issue “Ihr Recht 2020”, which is attached to issue 37/20 of FOCUS magazine.
In the newly published JUVE Handbook 20220/2021, WOLFF SCHULTZE KIEFERLE is again listed as one of the best commercial law firms for employment law in Germany.
In cooperation with the US publisher “Best Lawyers”, the Handelsblatt has published the major ranking of the best lawyers in Germany for the 12th time in a row. We are very pleased that the law firm WSK has been included in the ranking for the legal field of employment law.
The current Handelsblatt edition is based on the 12th edition of the Best Lawyers ranking. Every year, the U.S. publisher identifies the most renowned legal advisors in Germany exclusively for Handelsblatt in an extensive peer-to-peer process. Lawyers are asked which competitors they can recommend. The result is a comprehensive overview of the “Best Lawyers of 2020”.
We are delighted with the recognition we have received and would like to thank all our colleagues for the recommendations they have made; we regard this year’s award as an incentive for our continued work.

In its current issue (22/2020), the German magazine stern has compiled a list of the best law firms in Germany for private clients and awarded the WSK law firm a prize in employment law.
The list of the best law firms is based on a survey of fellow lawyers in which a total of 4,381 lawyers took part.
We are very pleased that as a law firm specializing in employment law we are not only one of the best law firms in Germany in terms of representing employers, but that we have now also received special recognition for our advice and representation of executives and employees.
brand eins 2020
In the current issue of the magazine brand eins on the subject of “The Best Commercial Law Firms in Germany 2020”, the law firm Wolff Schultze Kieferle was awarded as top law firm in the field of employment law.
The list of the best commercial law firms in Germany 2020 is based on a survey among lawyers (colleagues survey) and in-house lawyers (clients survey). For the 2020 survey, 10,248 lawyers from commercial law firms and 2,975 in-house lawyers were identified and invited to participate. A total of 2,615 lawyers and in-house lawyers took part in the survey and completed the questionnaire in full.
Only law firms that were recommended with above-average frequency in their respective fields of law received an award. The law firm WSK Arbeitsrecht thus made it into the ranking of the best 59 commercial law firms in the field of employment law.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to our colleagues and clients for this recognition of our expertise and see it as an award for the entire team.
JUVE Ranking 2019/2020
In the newly published JUVE Handbook 2019/2020, WOLFF SCHULTZE KIEFERLE is again listed as one of the best commercial law firms for employment law in Germany.
Evaluation in the JUVE Handbook:
“The Munich employment law firm’s main focus is on German small and medium-sized enterprises. Increasingly, however, larger companies, some of which are represented in the Dax, are also among the clients. The litigation strength of the partners has recently been in demand above all in dismissal protection proceedings. They have been able to significantly expand their existing relationships with Bayerischer Rundfunk and the pharmaceutical group Aenova, as well as winning several clinics as clients. Close cooperation with a US employment law firm has also led to an increase in advice with an international dimension.”
Often recommended: Dr. Andreas Wolff (“did a great job on the other side”, competitor), Oliver Kieferle (“good negotiator, pragmatic and goal-oriented”, competitor)
Team: 3 partners, 2 associates, 1 of counsel
Priorities: Litigation, but also collective law advice for predominantly medium-sized companies, clinics and media companies, most recently frequently in matters of collective bargaining and social security law. Increasingly public sector; management consulting.
Clients: DAX- Group, including on collective bargaining issues; clinic in dismissal protection litigation; various executives; ongoing: Bayerischer Rundfunk, Aenova, US employment law firm.
The JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms is the independent reference work of the German legal market, in which the best employment law firms in Germany are listed every year. The handbook is based on extensive research by law firms, corporate executives, representatives of public authorities and employees from the judiciary and academia. JUVE has conducted around 15,000 interviews and written interviews with lawyers and their clients for the handbook.
